Catherine “Cat” Halek’s history of working with children and families naturally transferred to breastfeeding after the birth of her son Ian. After horrible prenatal depression, everyone was concerned about postpartum depression. This was not the case as breastfeeding agreed with her brain chemistry and breastfeeding her son became a gift of sanity after months of darkness. Cat enjoys counseling others through their journeys of pregnancy and breastfeeding/chestfeeding.
Catherine spent three years as a Peer Counselor for WIC, where she was mentored by three talented IBCLCs and developed the skills to help parents reach their breastfeeding/chestfeeding goals. Catherine is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant.
“Cat, Thank you so much! I hope you know how helpful you’ve been so far and I’m so thankful for the time and care you’ve given us. It means so, so much to me! I will absolutely recommend you to anyone and everyone I can think of in the area. You clearly care about what you do and really care for the entire family you are helping.”
