What is a breastfeeding clip?
Latchpal is a breastfeeding shirt clip that holds a breastfeeding individual’s shirt during the feeding. It eliminates the need for shirt re-positioning and disruption from a shirt coming undone and falling over the breast. It also allows the individual to nurse hands-free thus making for a more comfortable feeding experience.
The owner, Melissa LaHann, was quite accommodating and answered all of our questions. Additionally, she sent us loads of great information about her business and this product when she sent the samples.
How does it work?
The shirt bunches up on the side being nursed from. The clip slips around, holding the shirt in place and snaps at the top. This allows the shirt to be held out-of-the-way allowing the breastfeeding individual to focus on helping the baby form a proper latch and nurse in the most comfortable position for the dyad.
An added bonus is that once past breastfeeding age, this clip can then be re-purposed for other uses such as a key chain, latching hand sanitizer to a diaper bag, or helping secure a potty training child’s clothing.
It comes in several designs, allowing it to be versatile for boys, girls, or gender neutral.
